Mallory's Newborn Pictures

Here are all of the pictures from Mallory's newborn shoot. I was very disappointed to find out our regular photographer is no longer in the business! I found this lady online and am happy with many of the pictures but not crazy about some of them. Anyway, here are all of them...

The Day I Found Out

I wrote this entry a long time ago when I found out I was pregnant. I'm finally posting it today. With a healthy (but screaming) 8 week old baby girl in my arms. :)

Today I took my ... hmmm... I think my fourth or fifth pregnancy test in two days. I knew, from the way I was feeling, I had to be pregnant. Finally, today I got a definite + sign in the window. I cannot express the joy I felt in that single moment.

We've been beyond fortunate. Never really had to try getting pregnant. We've never waited even a single month. But this time it was two months of trying. I know how ridiculous that sounds. So many people wait longer. But the disappointment was kind of hard. It had taken me a few months to even be ready to try again after losing our precious baby in January.

So, I'm pregnant. And I don't care what anyone else has to say or what they think about it. My doctor encouraged us to go for it. And we just knew our family wasn't complete yet.

This time we are not going to rush and tell everyone. We want to wait and be sure this doesn't end in a miscarriage. I want to ask everyone to pray. I want to rush and shout my news.

In fact, I haven't even told Britt yet. I want to see his face. I know he wants a boy so bad. I know carrying on his line of the Davises is important to him. So I hope it's a boy. But, with our amazing girls, we would gladly welcome another with all the joy in the world.

So I'm writing this little post as a way of "telling everyone." I won't post it just yet. I'll wait. But I just want to say,

HEY!! I'M GOING TO HAVE A BABY! I'M SO, SO, SOOOOO HAPPY!

Circus Camp

When I was pregnant I signed the girls up for Circus Camp at Landers Theatre. It was the only one they offered where a 4-year-old and 8-year-old could attend at the same time. I thought it would be great, knowing I'd have a newborn. (Of course, I thought she would be newer than she is but, still.)

It was a challenge getting everyone ready and out the door every morning but we made it. The girls seemed to really enjoy it, too. This is what they looked like when I picked them up the first day.

This was what they looked like after the day they learned how to make balloon animals. Nicole especially enjoyed this.

On the final day they had a popcorn party and a show.

The foyer. You can't see but there's a table of popcorn and drinks.

Balloon animals lined the entrance.

The best part was when I sat down I heard this very loud, "MOMMY!" And there's Allyson in the wings... you can see her waving her hand.

Here she is doing her part. She's the second from the right. Her hair is pulled back because she has started the awful habit of sticking hair in her mouth. (She doesn't want me to cut it so I'm trying to find other options.)

I thought I was videotaping but found out later I hadn't hit the button. I found another woman who gave me her video of their little performance. She was further away but here's what the kids performed. You see Allyson's group come in about half-way through.

Here she is after the dance... happy I have some popcorn for her!

After the performance, the kids and parents enjoyed a video made by the staff throughout the week. It's rather long but it shows what the experienced throughout the week... and the girls are in it quite a bit. (Make sure to hit the bottom right "square" in order to watch it full-screen.)
