Maternity Pictures

We had scheduled our maternity pictures for the morning of April 6. God obviously knew that wasn't going to work. Out of the blue the photographer had asked if we were free on Friday evening, the 5th.

So, for two days before, I was trying on clothes and shopping for coordinating outfits. Nicole was a big help ... even tying my shoes when I couldn't quite reach them. :)

Allyson... well she was kind of everywhere in the dressing rooms. Here we are at Target. I can't believe I'm posting these pictures but they show a little of what the week was really like. And, yes, I sometimes take pictures of outfits I'm trying on... because I can tell better whether I like something by seeing a picture.

So, the night before Mallory was born, we were taking maternity pictures. Here are the photos from that  shoot:

I can't tell you how difficult it was walking around this dirt road in wedge heels. Not quite as hard as keeping Allyson from running to the end of the dirt road as she kept begging to do!

As if this wasn't enough activity, we went shopping at Sam's Club after taking pictures. While in the parking lot, we bumped into Brett and Melissa Huechteman, "Aunt" Becky's son and daughter-in-law. They were pretty shocked when they found out the baby was born the next morning!
