Greatest Answer to Prayer

Tonight we were sitting around the table playing "Gabbit," a Q&A game given to us by my sister-in-law last Christmas. You press a button and it asks a question which everyone answers. Tonight one of the questions was, "What is the greatest answer to prayer you've ever had?" Nicole immediately answered, "Allyson!"

A later question was, "What's your favorite silly thing?" Again, Nicole answered, "Allyson."

Snack Time

It was quiet. Even after taking a shower. I knew there was just too much peace and quiet.
"Allyson... what are you doing?"
"Eating cheese."
I hadn't given her cheese. I knew we didn't have any cheese sticks or slices. Just a brand new block of cheese.

Here's what I found. Yep. She was definitely eating cheese.

Rough Day

I was getting something out of the laundry room when Allyson came in holding something. She asked me what it was. She was holding the syrup. We make our own syrup and keep it in a small container which can be opened rather easily. I immediately told her to put it back.

Only a couple of seconds had passed before I realized I had just asked my two-year-old to put syrup on a shelf. I ran to the pantry to find her standing in front of it. I asked her where it was. "Right Dere." She pointed to the floor and, sure enough, syrup was everywhere. Frustrated, I ordered her to go sit down while I cleaned it up. This is how I found her after I was finished.

Clothing Prejudice

The other day Nicole and I were at the mall. I saw a top I liked on a mannequin and told her I thought it was cute. Her response, after looking at the mannequin, was that the shirt was only for "black people." Bummer.
