At home with Papa and Nana

Today, day five of Papa and Nana's visit, we decided to play it a little more low-key. Well, at least the girls. Papa went to work with Britt. They came home full of stories of guns drawn, cuffing crazy teenagers and throwing them in the paddy wagon and more. Guess it was a good day for a ride-along! Unfortunately, I forgot to tell them to take pictures. (I suppose they were a little busy anyway.) During one of the more dangerous calls, Larry was waiting for Britt when another police officer asked who he was. Larry explained he was the father of one of the officers. The cop who had asked then suddenly introduced his wife to Larry and told her to stay with him. Guess she was out for a ride-along, too! As the two waited Larry learned she actually graduated from the same high school as Angela!

The girls enjoyed a little swimming at home with Nana and Mommy.

While Allyson napped and Mommy went to the store, Nana and Nicole had a tea party. Then they played war (the card game) and did a puzzle together.

After a taco salad dinner we enjoyed Andy's Frozen Custard.

Well, everyone but Allyson. Larry said she kept patting him on the leg and saying, "Papa, Papa." Finally, he asked what she wanted and she looked up at him and said, "Don't step on my ice cream." That's when he felt something under his shoe.

We replaced her ice cream and everyone was happy once more.
