Branson with Papa and Nana

Today is Day number four of our visit with Papa and Nana. We decided to go to Branson and see one of Nicole's favorite performers...Todd Oliver and his "talking dogs."

Lunch was served before the show.

After the show we got to pet the dogs.

Nicole and Irving.

Irving especially liked Allyson. She wasn't too sure about his kisses.

Then there was sweet Elvis.

 Allyson adored Lucy.

Outside the theater.

After the show we visited the fish hatchery.

This is a view of where they keep the trout. Beyond that is the dam which separates Lake Taneycomo from Tablerock Lake.

Buying fish food.

 Feeding the fish.

It was excruciatingly hot so we left the hatchery and drove around to see some of the scenery.

Then we headed over to Branson Landing. First stop: Bass Pro.

Papa bought Nicole a new fishing pole and Allyson a new hat (with camouflage).

Joe's Crab Shack for dinner!

Nicole ordered crab!

Speaking of crab...

 Papa cheered her up!

Looking out at Lake Taneycomo and part of the Landing.

 After dinner playtime.

(Nicole wanted to wear Allyson's kid-leash.)

For dessert we went by Dino's 24-Karrot Cake Company, also on the Landing. It's owned by Dino Kartsonakis, the famous Christian pianist. His daughter was there and gave us one of the $40 carrot cakes to take home - free!

Yummmmm.....

Finally, story, prayers and bedtime.

Allyson wanted to read her favorite story, "The Goodnight Train." She pretty much only knows the first two sentences, "The Goodnight Train is set to roll. It's being shined and filled with coal." along with many of the sound effects. I edited out about a minute and a half of her saying, "The Goodnight train is set to roll. It's being shined and filled with coal." Here's an abbreviated version of her storytelling.

Afterward, Papa read the story and it was lights out.

Then another movie for the grown ups. Tonight we watched Battle Los Angeles.
